Bring the kids to learn valuable safety tips from local police officers, fire fighters and public service workers on “Play it Safe Day” at the Cross Creek Ranch Welcome Center located in Fulshear.
The event will take place on Friday, August 21st from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Children will learn by exploring an on-site fire truck, ambulance, and Life Flight Helicopter. Rescue and safety professionals will be present to give tours and answer questions.

There are Katy neighborhoods where you can drive down the street and, with a little bit of knowledge, recognize the different builders’ homes from your car, “There’s a Perry; that’s a Village–looks like a Trendmaker!” Still, despite this level of predictability, there are several builders thereby avoiding the look of cookie-cutter-sameness lot-after-lot. Thank goodness for variety (even if we do have a pretty good clue who’s who!)
One of the reasons that the high-end custom sections of Cinco Ranch are so outstanding is that there is a good mix of custom builders in each section. I like to joke that Katy development will grow all the way to San Antonio! Well…we are on our way. Trendmaker Development’s Cross Creek Ranch will be a huge master-planned community in Fulshear and Ryland Homes has just announced a new development, Willow Creek Farms, in Brookshire, five miles west of Katy Mills Mall.
Cross Creek Ranch will be one of the most phenomenal developments in the Katy area and will have a huge impact on area real estate. Cross Creek Ranch is unlike anything that has come to far-west Katy, technically Fulshear. I remember when Fulshear was a real country town and the only high-end development was Weston Lakes, a guard-gated development built around a natural waterway and a golf course/club house. There was a tiny grocery store and a famous bar-barbecue café that attracted Houstonians.

Last weekend, August 9-10, Perry Homes debuted their new model in Cross Creek Ranch, a 3,000 acre master-planned in Fulshear. An amenities full one-story, the floor plan has four bedrooms and three baths. It’s 2,974 square feet.
