You Don’t Want to Miss the Katy Holiday Fun Festival
Keeping Christ in Christmas, giving to the unfortunate and visiting with Santa will all be a part of the upcoming Katy Holiday Fun Festival. The Katy community has long needed a large, inclusive holiday festival; this is the first celebration of what will become an annual event! We are all invited. Thanks to Katy’s FreckleTown.com, the Katy site “Where Family Fun is Found”, for the following information:
When: Friday, December 12, 5 p.m. until midnight.
Saturday, December 13, 10 a.m. until midnight.
Sunday, December 14, 10 a.m. until 9 p.m.
Location: 21703 Kingsland Blvd. at Park Grove, one block east of Mason Rd.
This years’ Katy Holiday Fun Festival promises a weekend of holiday fun for families of Katy and the surrounding areas. The highlight of the festival will be a live nativity scene.
The festival will include vendors, carnival rides and games. There will be live performances and Christmas caroling.
Festive foods will abound including egg nog, hot chocolate, s’mores, cotton candy, candy apples, funnel cake and many more fun holiday treats.
Katy kiddos will enjoy holiday character appearances and a Christmas tree lighting ceremony. The old man himself, Santa Claus, will arrive on a local fire truck. You won’t want to miss the 10 ft. snow slide.
Take the time to have photos made with Santa. Enjoy the petting zoo; ride a donkey and a camel!
Admission will be free to the public. However, the festival organizers are asking all in attendance to arrive with a non-perishable food item, a new toy, a new clothing article or a cash donation. Proceeds will benefit Katy Christian Ministries, Breath of Life Children’s Clinic and other local charities.
