Katy’s Glenn Eller, Olympic Gold Medal Winner, Honored at Cinco Ranch’s LaCenterra

Katy native son Glenn Eller, Olympic Gold Medalist and a member of the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unity, was celebrated at LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch on Saturday, August 30.
A native Texan, Eller graduated from James E. Taylor High School. Even though he’s on active duty, Eller still calls Katy “home”.
Eller is a three-time Olympian and winner of the gold medal in double trap at the recent 2008 Olympic games in Beijing. Eller set Olympic records in both qualifying, hitting 145 targets, and medaling with his total score of 190.
The public was invited to join Eller, community leaders, government officials and invited guests during this very special Katy homecoming held at Cinco Ranch’s LaCenterra. The event was free and open to the public. An autograph signing followed.
